Research is starting to catch up with the increasing numbers of youth with non-binary genders. These youth face unique challenges in the world and are reporting troubling health risks and outcomes. Ensuring these youth have access to basic health care is essential. Therefore, this article explores the challenges non-binary youth face in accessing gender-affirming primary care and the role health care providers can play in improving care for this population.
